Boreal Bay – Fishing Report – 5/13

Lake Trout fishing – A group of 5 that was trolling and they brought in limits of Lake Trout 2 days in a row, but they struggled with trolling today. Jigging bite seems to be improving over the last couple days as we have had 3 consecutive days of bright sun.  Brite sun will often push to deeper water.  Biggest Lake Trout so far was a 29″, with several 28″ fish caught.

We are still working on projects around camp, in addition to the normal cabin opening items.  Cabin 12 new ceiling and lighting.  Cabins 14/15,  16,/17 and the Lodge have been reshingled (after being damaged in the wind storm last June). 3 big white pines have been taken down and 3 other white pines trimmed up, so they will not be as susceptible to wind.  Plenty of firewood for anyone interested.

Many pictures are posted on our Facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/Boreal-Bay-Lodge-222195834885/

Walleye opener this coming Saturday will make for a longer fishing report next week!
